SET SEG Foundation

Founded in 2005, the SET SEG Foundation is a philanthropic organization committed to supporting Michigan public school students and strengthening educational communities across the state.
For over two decades, our mission has remained steadfast – to empower students to pursue meaningful enrichment opportunities that foster academic achievement, leadership development, and civic responsibility. Through scholarships, grants, and direct support to schools and students, we work to remove financial barriers and expand access to learning experiences that help young people thrive.
At the SET SEG Foundation, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. By supporting innovative programs and dedicated educators, we are helping to build stronger schools, stronger communities, and brighter futures for generations to come.
What we do
Through the generosity of our donors, the Foundation directly empowers Michigan students by funding the following programs:
- Education Excellence Awards: Twelve school districts awarded $2,500 each honoring outstanding educational programs throughout Michigan.
- Summer Leadership Camp Scholarships: $30,000 given annually in full scholarships for Michigan students to attend Camp.
- Skilled Trade Scholarships: $1,000 scholarships awarded to students working toward graduating from technical career programs.
- Fergin Scholarship: Up to $2,500 awarded annually for up to four academic years.
The SET SEG Foundation is recognized by the State and Federal governments as a philanthropic, nonprofit organization. Contributions to the Foundation may be eligible for tax deduction, depending upon the donor’s tax status.
