Rick Johnson, Wexford-Misaukee ISD, Honored with Gus Kihlstrand Award
The Gus Kihlstrand Award, created in 2019 and named after a valued, long-tenured member of the SET SEG family, honors the legacy of public-school personnel who exemplify exceptional hard work and commitment to their district. We are proud to announce that Rick Johnson, Maintenance Supervisor at Wexford-Missaukee ISD is the 2020 recipient of the Gus Kihlstrand Award.
Rick Johnson began his 38-year career in the maintenance department of Wexford-Missaukee ISD under his grandfather, Bill Marsh. His colleagues shared that he knows every nuance within the buildings on campus, from the locations to all shut-off valves to every weak spot on the roof. Rick’s tenure at Wexford-Missaukee ISD has spanned five superintendents and thousands of students and faculty. His integrity and character are demonstrated through his commitment and dedication to his job and to those he works with and serves. Congratulations, Rick!
